Introducing Our Senior Model for Pearland High School, Class of 2024
This fall I’ve had the privilege of capturing the unique and inspiring stories of countless high school seniors as they transition into the next exciting chapter of their lives. Today, I’m thrilled to introduce John Devlin, an exceptional young man and my senior model from Pearland High School, class of 2024.
A Peek into John's Life
John Devlin is not your typical high school senior; he's a young man with a captivating passion for life and a determination that's sure to lead him to great heights. At the age of 17, he's currently navigating the final stretch of his high school journey while immersing himself in the vibrant world of the Pride of Pearland marching band.
What is he most excited about during his senior year?
He has a special connection with the marching band, and he's eagerly looking forward to finishing the season at the national UIL competition in Indianapolis. It's clear that he's a high achiever who brings the same dedication he displays in the band to all aspects of his life. John is a sociable and outgoing individual who enjoys spending time with his friends and making the most of his senior year.
What advice does John have for incoming freshmen?
John values and understands the importance of surrounding oneself with a supportive and caring circle of friends throughout high school. As he advises his fellow seniors, "Choose the people you have at your table." This sage advice underlines the significance of the connections we make in our lives, as they shape our experiences and impact our journey.
Where does he imagine himself 10 years from now?
Peering into the future, John envisions himself with a loving family of five, consisting of two sons and one daughter, residing in a charming house in downtown.
What are his plans after graduation?
He's setting his sights on a career in law, aspiring to work as a prosecutor. He even contemplates exploring the world of defense law, proving that he's open to exciting possibilities and challenges in the years to come.
If he could have one food for the rest of his life, what would it be?
As for his favorite food, John's choice is the delectable spicy Popeyes chicken sandwich. There's nothing like the crispy, fiery indulgence of this popular treat to cap off a school day, a sentiment shared by many.
If his house was on fire, what possession would he save?
In times of adversity, John knows what truly matters. In the event of a fire at home, his top priority is to rescue all of his family pictures, cherishing the memories captured in those images.
Name one odd skill that most people don't know you have....
John Devlin possesses an extraordinary gift for giving advice and lending a listening ear to his friends in need. He's a constant source of comfort and solace during their moments of despair. His generous and compassionate nature is truly commendable, reflecting the values instilled by his parents and the faith he holds dear.
